Orca, the San Antonio alternative indie-pop duo, share their new single, “Missing the subway,” a delicately orchestrated track that delves into an honest reflection on self-sabotage and skipping plans. Alongside the single, Orca announce that their forthcoming EP, Shed, will be arriving on November 13th.

Entirely produced by Hether, the EP, which also features previously released singles “skin&skin” and “Dove,” finds Orca continuing to carve out a sound that feels distinctly their own, pairing shimmering indie-pop with an atmospheric, emotionally charged approach to songwriting. “Missing the Subway” follows Orca’s aforementioned singles, which were both released amidst touring in support of Love Spells’ North American leg of his Love Is The Law world tour.

The San Antonio duo is crafting moody, cinematic soundscapes rooted in emotional storytelling. Blending indie-pop shimmer with dreamlike atmosphere, their music explores transformation, identity, longing, and renewal. Their latest EP, Ladybird, released May 2, 2025, introduced the duo through breakout track “Certain Feelings” and established the foundation for their atmospheric, emotionally driven sound.

Over the past year, Orca have opened for 54 Ultra, Hether, Temachii, Jackson Marshall, and The Two Lips, while performing across a series of Texas festivals. With their forthcoming EP, the duo continues to explore the messy, intimate spaces between desire and fear, creating music that feels as vulnerable as it is immersive.

Listen to “Missing the subway” and pre-save the Shed EP, and stay tuned for more coming soon.
