Nigerian rapper Phyno has released Let That Sink In, his sixth studio album, which arrived on Friday, October 30, 2026. The fifteen track project lands almost exactly two years after his previous album Full Time Job, which arrived on October 4, 2024, and it is being framed as his full return to rap with a studio album.

Phyno built his name rapping in Igbo, mixing indigenous language verses with English and Nigerian Pidgin, and that identity has defined his catalogue since his 2014 debut No Guts No Glory. His joint project 2 Kings with Olamide in 2015 showed how comfortably he moves between hard rap and the wider Afrobeats lane, and Let That Sink In plays to both sides of that history.

He revealed the guest list up front, and it is built for range. Seyi Vibez, Wande Coal, Oxlade, Lojay, Fireboy DML, Chike and Jeriq are all confirmed on the album. Most of those names are singers first, which points to a record that leans as hard on melody and hooks as it does on bars. Jeriq is the pick rap fans will watch closest, since he comes from the same Eastern scene as Phyno and shares his habit of switching into Igbo, setting up a meeting between two generations of Eastern rap.

The rollout gave the album a long runway. Phyno shared the title, the release date and the full feature list ahead of time, and the single Beautiful arrived on October 8 as an early taste of the project. On release day he also delivered the official video for Ndewo, his collaboration with Wande Coal, giving fans a visual anchor for the album on day one.

Let That Sink In is out now on all major streaming platforms, and it stands as a statement from one of the longest running hitmakers in Nigerian rap that the bars still come first.

South African rapper Blxckie has released YENA, his new album, which arrived on Friday, October 30, 2026, under Somnyama Music Entertainment and EMPIRE. He unveiled the complete tracklist on Instagram ahead of release, sharing the album artwork with a message to fans. Quoted in SA Hip Hop Mag, he wrote, “YENA this Friday. Thank you for your patience, I owe you everything.”

The fifteen track album opens with mama it is all good and moves through titles including take me back, mr party, uphi and welcome to the function. The sequence also includes vul amehlo, which the magazine translates as open your eyes, plus wala and die tomorrow, pointing to a project that moves between moods and perspectives while keeping Blxckie at its center.

The guest list brings together voices from across his world. Fellow South African rapper A Reece joins him on bonkerz, American rapper Bas appears on cover me, and Nigerian singer L.A.X features on lonely, a song already released as a single. KindlyNxsh links up on let em have it, Durban rapper Usimamane appears on dradi, and brady interlude nods to his close creative association with K1llbrady. The production credits run long and include American producer TM88.

The rollout carried a personal feel throughout. Blxckie previously shared throwback freestyle footage from his teenage years in Sydenham Heights, and the album title itself highlights the name Somnyama Yena Yedwa, reinforcing how closely this chapter connects to his identity and roots. One phrase in his announcement, uthando alupheli nanini, translates to love never ends.

YENA follows a busy period that included the 4LUV2 EP earlier this year and a steady run of collaborations. With fifteen tracks, a diverse guest list and an extensive production team, the album is positioned as another defining moment in his career.
