Soul singer, Ol’ June says you’ve gotta add ‘WATER’!💧

🚨NEW MUSIC ALERT

WATER’ is the title of the new (r&b/soul) song by up-and-coming soul crooner, Ol’ June. His latest single is another gem showing that he is an artist who is definitely bringing back good ole fashioned soulful r&b music. The song’s arrangement and rich texture are so reminiscent of great sounding music from the 80s, 70s & 60s; which was considered by many to be r&b music’s heyday. While ‘WATER’ feels like good old times and memories, it also sounds very fresh and modern. This unique blend of the best of the old sounds with new ideas can be attributed to the artist himself. Ol’ June is a singer/songwriter with a bright future.
As Ol’ June explains it, “Water is in everything, especially the human body. In fact, 60% of the human body is composed of water. So what that means is that water is a necessity. One could potentially deprive their partner of water, causing them not to grow and maybe even perish.

One of the lyrics in this new song states, “She has enough sun, placed in the soil where she’s from, but you gotta add water.

As a man. I have to not take away from my woman’s greatness. I have to add water. She could have been perfect if she just had her partner add water to her.”, kindly expresses Ol’ June.

RIMIDI Releases “Apology Note” — A Soulful Exploration of Self-Forgiveness and Emotional Healing

Now streaming on all platforms

With her new single “Apology Note,” now available across all streaming platforms, RIMIDI delivers one of the most emotionally resonant releases of her career. The track—soulful, introspective, and meticulously crafted—captures the essence of a woman stepping fully into her truth and honoring the lessons that shaped her.

Originally written by multi-instrumentalist and longtime mentor Ralph “Alaye” Metullus, the song began as a conversation between two lovers facing the aftermath of broken trust. But as the years passed, and following the profound loss of her biological father, RIMIDI’s relationship to the song transformed. When she added her own verse, reimagined the hook, and penned a defining bridge, the meaning shifted inward—no longer a plea to someone else, but a long-overdue letter to herself.

What emerges is a deeply intimate portrait of a woman reclaiming her worth.

It became an apology note to myself,” RIMIDI has shared. “A vow to honor my value and to never settle for less than I deserve.

Musically, “Apology Note” blends warm soul textures with atmospheric R&B and subtle cinematic layers. The production is intentionally spacious, allowing RIMIDI’s voice to sit at the center—honest, textured, and vulnerable without ever losing its sense of control. Her vocal performance serves as both confession and affirmation, embodying the emotional duality the song represents.

The instrumentation is lush but never overwhelming. Soft guitar lines, intimate bass phrases, and delicate rhythmic accents create a soundscape that feels both timeless and modern, echoing influences from classic soul ballads while grounding the song firmly in contemporary R&B.

As part of her upcoming project, JUNO: The Late Bloomer, “Apology Note” (Produced by Fudakochi) stands as a thematic anchor—a song that reflects rebirth, evolving identity, and the quiet courage required to confront one’s deepest wounds. For listeners, it’s a reminder that forgiveness doesn’t always involve another person; sometimes, the healing we need begins with the mirror.

RIMIDI has long been known for blending soul, jazz, and alternative R&B into a sound uniquely her own. But here, the emotional clarity, vulnerability, and narrative depth reach new heights. “Apology Note” is not just a song—it’s a moment of personal revelation captured in motion.

For anyone navigating their own season of growth or reflection, this is a release that will land exactly where it’s needed.
