The cozy life sim calendar has a new date circled on it, and this one comes with capybaras.

Starsand Island will launch into Steam Early Access on February 1, developer Seed Sparkle Lab announced through the Press Engine portal. The seaside life sim invites players to leave the city grind behind and embrace the simple joys of country life.

On the island, players live alongside capybaras, cats and dogs, reel in a big catch, and explore the enchanting Moonlit Forest. Farming, fishing, animal care and gentle exploration make up the rhythm of island days, in a game built as an escape from the hustle of modern life.

Farming in Starsand Island is paired with a full island community to meet, errands and discoveries spread across the shore, and a home that grows with the seasons. The Moonlit Forest gives the island its magical edge, a place where the cozy routine gives way to exploration and surprises.

The Early Access launch is the next step for a title that has been gathering cozy-game attention with its bright art direction and its promise of a slower pace. Players who want to follow development can wishlist Starsand Island on Steam now, which also puts the February 1 Early Access launch on their radar the moment it opens.

Starsand Island heads to Steam Early Access on February 1.

Kuro Games has unveiled Wuthering Waves Version 3.8, “Lilies in a Dying Dream,” launching November 12 with a new Resonator, a new Main Quest chapter and a raft of gameplay optimizations.

The update introduces Lily, a new Resonator, along with her signature weapon, Lullaby, and the new Main Quest Chapter IV Act V, “A Bouquet for Tomorrow,” which sets the stage for Version 4.0.

Version 3.8 also adds new events, including Second Coming of Solaris, the seven-day login event Gifts of Bygone Dreams, Whither the Wind and the Tactical Hologram challenge, plus Hiyuki’s Deluxe Outfit “Lune Noire” and its matching accessory.

On the systems side, the update redesigns the Resonance Conversion page for Rover, adds a Material Locator button for finding where materials come from, and gives the PC launcher a choice between Full Resources and Basic Resources, while console players get new Performance and Quality modes.

Wuthering Waves is a free-to-play cross-platform action RPG from Kuro Games, the Guangzhou-based studio founded in 2014, set in a post-cataclysmic sci-fi world.
