Ten-Year-Old Singer-Songwriter Aanvi . S Debuts “Emotions” EP

Most ten-year-olds are still trying to get a grasp on learning to better read and write, but New Zealand native Aanvi . S is wowing audiences with her unbelievable musical prowess. The ten-year-old singer-songwriter already has two singles under her belt and returns to unleash her four-track debut EP, “Emotions.” “Emotions” surely does just that – the EP evokes a visceral emotional response from all listeners.
The EP overall has an inspiring tone and showcases the prodigious songwriting and vocals of Aanvi . S. There is no doubt that this rising star is already beyond her years. “Emotions” starts off with the upbeat, inspiring record, “Light.” The eclectic “Light” is a poppy song with various elements borrowed from different genres of music. It sets the tone of the EP by providing listeners with a groovy sound compounded with hopeful, fun-filled lyrics. The EP then turns to “Speak Up” which slows the EP down a bit, but the song is perfectly placed as the second track because the hook is consistent with the lively sound present within “Light.” “Speak Up” also remains on-brand and provides listeners with the inspiration to chase their dreams. The EP then moves to a piano-driven Pop record, “The Mirror.” “The Mirror” does a great job with juxtaposition by providing downtempo verses and a powerful, more up-tempo chorus. “Emotions” closes with the self-love, Indie, Singer-Songwriter song, “Change Myself.” The last track is the perfect piece to close out the EP and truly demonstrates the versatility that this young talent possesses.
Aanvi . S’ polished vocals blended with her relatable lyrics make listeners completely forget her age. The EP’s production and quality must be commended as well. It is good scary to imagine how great of an artist Aanvi . S will be as she matures. If the EP, “Emotions,” is a prelude to what Aanvi . S’ potential is, then the music industry and fans should get to know her name now and brace themselves for the masterpieces to come.
