TRAPfrica Records presents the latest milestone from G TEMPOH, the first American Afrobeats duo, as they drop their highly anticipated mixtape, ‘INSTINCT’. This six-track project blends Afrobeats, AfroTrap, and global influences, redefining contemporary African music.
Featuring tracks like “MOTTOH,” “Welcome to TRAPfrica!,” “HONEST,” “PROSPER,” “CALL BACK,” and “NAYA,” each song showcases the duo’s versatility and signature TRAPfrican sound, capturing the essence of African rhythms while infusing elements of trap and drill.
The duo, consisting of OG Picasso and G’Latto Osei, brings a fresh perspective to the Afrobeats scene by integrating energetic rap flows, soulful melodies, and high-energy beats that cater to a global audience. Their innovative approach to music production and storytelling has positioned them as pioneers in the evolving AfroTrap genre.
Fresh off winning Ghana Entertainment Awards’ Discovery of the Year, OG Picasso continues making an impact following collaborations with Wyll Power, Edem, and Gambo on the global hit “DRIP” remix. G TEMPOH has performed on major stages, including Kuami Eugene’s Toronto Caribana show and Ghana Music Awards USA. Their high-energy stage presence and dynamic performance style have captivated audiences, solidifying their reputation as one of the most exciting new acts in the Afrobeats scene.

The duo is set for collaborations with Grammy-winning producers LeriQ and Herb Middleton, Nigerian hitmaker UCee, and Ghanaian Afrobeats stars Edem and Gambo. These upcoming releases are expected to push their sound even further into international markets, expanding their reach and establishing their brand as a force in the industry.
G TEMPOH embodies more than music—it’s a movement redefining TRAP as “Those Representing African Prosperity.” Their mission is to bridge the gap between Africa and the diaspora through music, culture, and storytelling.

Pembroke Tenneson Isn’t Afraid To Have A Bit Of Fun With Rock ’n’ Roll
What happens when a guitarist decides to write the most brazen rock song he can think of? In Pembroke Tenneson’s case, the answer is “Sex Appeal”.
The title says plenty, but the song goes considerably further. Tenneson throws himself into a world of self-praise and outrageous confidence, with one boast following another. It is cheeky stuff, but there is a real affection for the music behind the joke.
Tenneson has talked about his love of the early-1970s rock sound that inspired the track, and that comes across in the attitude of the performance. He is not trying to make the song subtle. He wants the guitars, vocals and lyrics to have some swagger.
The best thing about “Sex Appeal” is that the humour never takes over completely. There is a brilliant rock song underneath all the showing off, and Tenneson clearly cares about making it sound authentic as well as making people smile.
That makes this an appealing introduction to his forthcoming material. “Sex Appeal” is the first of 14 original songs he has been developing, so there is plenty more on the way to look forward to.
For now, though, Tenneson has picked an entertaining way to reintroduce himself as an artist. “Sex Appeal” has attitude, a catchy refrain and enough cheek to make it stand out.
