Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg scored a career-high 37 points as the Golden State Warriors rested Stephen Curry and Draymond Green and still beat the Los Angeles Clippers 124-112 on Sunday night for their fourth straight win.

Lendeborg shot 13 of 19 from the field and 6 of 11 from 3-point range, adding six assists and four rebounds. His 37 points were the most by a Warriors rookie since Stephen Curry scored 42 in 2010, and they bettered his previous career high of 31, set in the win at Denver that started Golden State’s winning streak. De’Anthony Melton scored 21 points for the Warriors (4-3) and Brandon Williams and Brandin Podziemski had 17 apiece, with Podziemski adding eight rebounds and a game-high eight assists. Curry and Green are expected to return when Golden State hosts Phoenix on Monday night.

The Clippers led by as many as 11 in the first quarter and took a 37-26 lead on a 10-0 burst, but Golden State opened the second quarter on an 11-2 run and led 63-57 at halftime behind 19 first-half points from Lendeborg. A Lendeborg 3-pointer made it 83-68 in the third quarter before Los Angeles cut the margin to seven by the end of the period. Lendeborg’s fifth 3-pointer with 8:29 to play restored a double-digit lead, and the Warriors held control the rest of the way.

Rui Hachimura hit four 3-pointers and scored a team-high 24 points for the Clippers, who lost their fifth straight game. Darius Garland had 15 points and seven assists, Kobe Sanders scored 16 off the bench and Kris Dunn had 12 points and seven steals. Los Angeles played without Brandon Ingram, Bradley Beal, Jordan Miller and Max Strus.

The NBA suspended Atlanta Hawks guard Kingston Flemings one game without pay for intentionally elbowing New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce McGowens in the head, the league announced on Sunday.

The incident occurred with 3:04 remaining in the fourth quarter of New Orleans’ 121-99 home win over Atlanta on Saturday. Flemings was assessed a technical foul and ejected after a review, a brief skirmish broke out, and Pelicans forward Julian Reese also received a technical foul. Flemings had scored 12 points with six assists off the bench before the ejection.

Flemings will serve the suspension on Monday when Atlanta visits the Indiana Pacers, and the one-game ban will cost him $42,234. The eighth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft out of Houston, the rookie point guard has quickly become a key part of the Hawks’ second unit, averaging 7.1 points and 4.7 assists in seven games this season.
