A Pet Shop After Dark Brings Its Cute Horror Adventure to Consoles on November 12
A pet shop after dark, the deceptively cute horror point-and-click adventure from developer and publisher npckc, launches on consoles on November 12. The game arrives on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox, joining the PC version already available on Steam.
Players take a job working overnight at a small-town pet shop, a shift that sounds simple enough. The owner leaves just three rules to follow: water the plants, feed the pets, and do not, under any circumstances, turn off the lights.
What begins as a cozy evening of chores slowly turns unsettling. The shop after closing time is not quite what it seems, and the friendly pixel-art presentation hides a story that grows stranger and darker the longer the night goes on.
As a point-and-click adventure, the game asks players to explore the shop, interact with its residents and pay close attention to the details around them. Every small task matters, and breaking the owner’s rules carries consequences that are best discovered firsthand.
npckc is known for short, story-driven games with a distinctive voice, and a pet shop after dark has built a devoted following on PC for the way it blends charm and dread into a single night shift.
The console release marks the first time the game has been playable away from PC. Whether you go in expecting a relaxing night shift or a horror story, the shop has surprises waiting once the sun goes down, as long as the lights stay on. A pet shop after dark launches on November 12.

Beyond the Mist Brings Its Cursed Lighthouse Horror to Steam, Switch Version on November 19
Beyond the Mist, the horror adventure from developer Yliader and publisher RAWRLAB Games, is out now on Steam. The game launched on October 31 priced at $5.99, with an introductory discount of 40 percent bringing it to $3.59 until November 7, and a Nintendo Switch version follows on November 19.
Players take the role of Arthur Webb, an aging lighthouse keeper trapped inside a cursed lighthouse. With the light failing and the mist closing in, Arthur has to find a way out of a place that no longer obeys the rules of the world outside.
Escape means searching the lighthouse room by room for items and clues, solving puzzles and making key decisions along the way. Those decisions matter: the story can end in three different ways, and not all of them lead Arthur safely out of the mist, so every choice is worth thinking about before it is made.
The game is a reimagining of the Game Boy title The Mist, rebuilt as a modern horror adventure while keeping the spirit of the original intact. Its 8-bit-style soundtrack, composed by Gjoll, leans into that heritage, wrapping the lighthouse in chiptune dread that suits its pixel-art presentation.
For horror fans, the Halloween launch was well timed, and the low price makes it an easy recommendation for a single evening’s play. The Switch release on November 19 means handheld players get their turn inside the lighthouse just a few weeks later.
Short, focused and built around atmosphere rather than jump scares, Beyond the Mist is a compact horror story for players who like their scares slow and strange. It is available now on PC via Steam, with the Nintendo Switch version arriving on November 19.
