Howard Bloom vs. The Bloombot: A Mind-Bending Night of Ideas at Chelsea Table & Stage
On August 15, 2025, renowned author, scholar, and public intellectual Howard Bloom will make a highly anticipated and rare appearance at Chelsea Table & Stage in New York City. In a unique format, Bloom will sit down with his own digital doppelgänger—an AI clone named the Bloombot—to discuss his provocative new book, The Case of the Sexual Cosmos: Everything You Know About Nature Is Wrong. Rather than a standard reading or lecture, Bloom and his AI counterpart will debate live onstage, offering an engaging and unpredictable dialogue that challenges conventional ideas.
Chelsea Table & Stage, located at 152 West 26th Street, serves as an intimate, upscale venue known for elevating intimate music and literary events in Manhattan. With its state‑of‑the‑art sound and lighting, mezzanine VIP seating, and delightful dining menu, the venue brings a cabaret-style ambiance to evening performances—making it an ideal setting for Bloom’s innovative conversation with AI.

The evening begins at 7:00 PM, with tickets ranging from $23 to $39, making this intellectual experience accessible yet special. Attendees can expect a cerebral, entertaining hour where Bloom’s sharp wit meets the wit—often sassy—of the Bloombot, as they spar philosophically and humorously in front of a live audience.
What makes this event truly exceptional is the pairing of Bloom’s reputation—hailed by Britain’s Channel 4 as “the Einstein, Newton, Darwin and Freud of the 21st century”—with cutting-edge AI theatrics. For one night only, audiences will witness a firsthand exploration of human wisdom versus artificial intellect, framed within an elegantly theatrical evening.
Whether you’re a longtime reader of Bloom’s works or simply intrigued by the intersection of science, philosophy, and technology, this evening promises stimulation, entertainment, and unexpected insights. It’s not just a book talk—it’s a live experiment in dialogue, identity, and ideas.
