Some records feel like a hand on your shoulder. I’m People is one of those, a warm and searching album from M.C. Taylor, and on Thursday, November 12, Hiss Golden Messenger brings it to Thalia Hall in Pilsen, a grand old room that suits these songs down to the ground.

Hiss Golden Messenger plays Thalia Hall on Thursday, November 12, with singer and multi instrumentalist Sam Amidon opening the night. The Chicago date sits on the I’m People Tour, the road run behind the new album of the same name.

I’m People arrived on May 1, 2026, as the first Hiss Golden Messenger album for Chrysalis Records. Taylor made the record with producer Josh Kaufman at Dreamland, a decommissioned church outside Woodstock, New York, and the album carries contributions from Bruce Hornsby, Sam Beam, Marcus King and Sara Watkins. Written across New Mexico, California and the North Carolina Piedmont, the songs trace heartbreak, hope and everyday American life in Taylor’s plainspoken, poetic voice.

Hiss Golden Messenger is the long running project of Durham, North Carolina songwriter M.C. Taylor, who formed the band in 2007 and has built one of the most respected catalogs in modern Americana, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album along the way.

Thalia Hall, the historic hall at 1807 South Allport Street in Pilsen, gives the night the right frame. It is a room where quiet songs land as hard as loud ones, and this band has spent nearly two decades learning exactly how to fill a space like it.

Brothers Osborne is a Grammy winning country duo, and TJ and John Osborne headline the 12th Annual CoreyFest at House of Blues Boston on Saturday, November 14, 2026.

CoreyFest is an annual Boston benefit concert tradition, and this year the brothers bring a live show built on songs like “Stay a Little Longer,” “It Ain’t My Fault,” “21 Summer” and “Younger Me.”

The Maryland born duo has won multiple CMA and ACM awards alongside their Grammy, and their twin attack of TJ’s baritone and John’s guitar work has made them one of country music’s most respected live acts.
