Life Below Brings Its Underwater City Builder to the Galaxies Showcase With a Demo on the Way
Most city builders pave over nature. Life Below asks players to grow it back, one coral reef at a time.
Life Below, the underwater city builder from developer Megapop and publisher Kasedo Games, took a spotlight at the Galaxies Showcase, with a playable demo on the way for players who want to dive in early. The showcase appearance arrived through the Press Engine portal on November 7.
Life Below is a refreshing twist on the city-building genre, set beneath the waves. Players shape thriving coral reefs, revive collapsing ecosystems, and grow a living seascape as the ocean’s final hope, in a heartfelt narrative written by Rhianna Pratchett.
Instead of roads and zoning, the work is ecological: every structure is part of a living reef system, and the health of the seascape responds to the choices players make. The result is a builder about restoration rather than expansion, where a thriving reef is both the goal and the reward.
The game is out now on PC via Steam, and the newly announced playable demo gives curious builders a first chance to test the waters before committing to a full reef of their own.
Life Below is available now on Steam, with the playable demo coming soon.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.8 ‘Lilies in a Dying Dream’ Brings Lily, a New Main Quest and More on November 12
Kuro Games has unveiled Wuthering Waves Version 3.8, “Lilies in a Dying Dream,” launching November 12 with a new Resonator, a new Main Quest chapter and a raft of gameplay optimizations.
The update introduces Lily, a new Resonator, along with her signature weapon, Lullaby, and the new Main Quest Chapter IV Act V, “A Bouquet for Tomorrow,” which sets the stage for Version 4.0.
Version 3.8 also adds new events, including Second Coming of Solaris, the seven-day login event Gifts of Bygone Dreams, Whither the Wind and the Tactical Hologram challenge, plus Hiyuki’s Deluxe Outfit “Lune Noire” and its matching accessory.
On the systems side, the update redesigns the Resonance Conversion page for Rover, adds a Material Locator button for finding where materials come from, and gives the PC launcher a choice between Full Resources and Basic Resources, while console players get new Performance and Quality modes.
Wuthering Waves is a free-to-play cross-platform action RPG from Kuro Games, the Guangzhou-based studio founded in 2014, set in a post-cataclysmic sci-fi world.
