Big Loud Texas Publishing has signed Texas-born, Nashville-based songwriter Karleigh Schmidt, adding one of the Lone Star State’s rising writers to the roster built by Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall.

Today, Big Loud Texas Publishing, the publishing arm of buzzed about imprint Big Loud Texas, announces the signing of Karleigh Schmidt. A prolific Texas-born, Nashville-based songwriter, Schmidt joins the growing roster of standout creatives representing the Lone Star State’s indelible contributions to Music City and beyond.

“Signing with Big Loud Texas Publishing is truly a dream come true and an answered prayer, and I couldn’t imagine a better team to call home,” shares Schmidt. “I’m beyond excited to be working alongside Lizzy [Rector], JR [Jon Randall], Miranda [Lambert], Brendon [Anthony], and the entire Big Loud family who have been such champions from the beginning.

“I’m incredibly passionate about the creative bridge Big Loud Texas fosters between Nashville and Texas and I’m honored to be a part of that. This partnership feels so full circle for my East Texas heart, and I can’t wait to see what we build together,” she continues.

“We are so lucky to have Karleigh join the Big Loud Texas family,” Big Loud Texas Co-Founder Jon Randall shares. “She is the kind of songwriter that shows up with sleeves rolled up, pencil sharpened and a bag of killer ideas. Can’t wait to watch her knock it out of the park.”

“Karleigh is one of those writers who makes every room better,” says Lizzy Rector, Director, Big Loud Texas Publishing. “She’s incredibly intentional in both her songwriting and the relationships she builds, in the writing room and beyond. We’re lucky to have her as part of the Big Loud Texas family!”

Hailing from Big Loud Texas Co-Founder Miranda Lambert’s small town of Lindale, Texas, Schmidt moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University and later became part of the AIMP Nashville Class of 2025 Unsigned Songwriter Series. Schmidt’s honest, tender storytelling poignantly reflects her influences including Lambert, Vince Gill, Lee Ann Womack and more. Her knack for finding the heart of a song and bringing an artist’s vision to life places her squarely in the sweet spot for a creative breakthrough. Schmidt will continue to be based in Nashville.
