The Jacksonville Jaguars turned a rainy afternoon at EverBank Stadium into a showcase on Sunday, crushing the Indianapolis Colts 42-7 for their 12th straight home win in the series.

Trevor Lawrence was in full control, going 10 of 14 for 210 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions before leaving early in the fourth quarter. He opened the scoring with a 2 yard touchdown pass to Brian Thomas Jr. at the end of a 98 yard drive, hit Michael Boerkircher for a 31 yard score in the second quarter, and closed the third quarter with a 25 yard screen pass touchdown to Bhayshul Tuten.

Tuten was the star of the day. The running back carried 16 times for 104 yards and a touchdown, scoring on a 39 yard run in the second quarter in which he broke three tackles, and added 2 catches for 55 yards and the receiving score. Chris Rodriguez Jr. ran for a touchdown as well. The defense did the rest. Rayuan Lane returned an interception 92 yards for a touchdown in the final seconds of the first half, sending Jacksonville (5-2) to the locker room up 28-0 with the third largest halftime lead in franchise history. The Jaguars forced three turnovers and sacked the Colts four times.

Indianapolis (2-6) lost its fourth straight game in its first outing since trading away DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson. Daniel Jones went 19 of 28 for 144 yards with one touchdown, a 6 yard pass to Josh Downs in the third quarter, and two interceptions. Jonathan Taylor managed 23 yards on 8 carries and lost a fumble, and DJ Giddens led the Colts on the ground with 43 yards. Keenan Allen was the top receiver with 7 catches for 67 yards. Anthony Richardson made his season debut in the fourth quarter and completed both of his passes for 8 yards.

The Denver Broncos scored 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and finished the job with a goal line stand in the final seconds, beating the Kansas City Chiefs 28-24 on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High to take over first place in the AFC West.

Kansas City (5-2) led most of the day. Patrick Mahomes threw an 11 yard touchdown pass to Rashee Rice in the first quarter, a 73 yard touchdown to running back Emmett Johnson in the second, and a 4 yard score to Noah Gray in the third quarter for a 24-13 lead. Denver (6-2) stayed close behind Wil Lutz field goals of 39 and 45 yards and a 1 yard touchdown pass from Bo Nix to Jaylen Waddle on fourth down late in the first half, and Kansas City took a 17-13 lead into halftime on a 45 yard Harrison Butker field goal in the final minute of the second quarter.

The Broncos went three and out three straight times to open the second half, then drove 80 yards in nine plays. Nix hit Nate Adkins for a 2 yard touchdown on fourth and goal with 8:55 left, and Waddle caught the two point conversion to pull Denver within 24-21.

After Butker missed a field goal try, Nix found rookie Jonah Coleman for 51 yards down to the 5 yard line, and Coleman ran it in on the next play just after the two minute warning to give Denver its first lead since the first quarter. Coleman finished as the Broncos’ top rusher and top receiver, running for 41 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and catching 4 passes for 63 yards.

Kansas City had one last chance and nearly took it. Mahomes hit Travis Kelce for 32 yards and Kenneth Walker carried the Chiefs down to the 1 yard line. But Mahomes threw incomplete on second down, Walker was stopped for no gain on third down, a false start pushed Kansas City back, and Malcolm Roach sacked Mahomes on fourth down as time expired. Mahomes finished 30 of 41 for 321 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. Johnson caught 5 passes for 128 yards for the Chiefs, and Walker ran for 69 yards on 21 carries. Nix went 20 of 32 for 222 yards and two touchdowns for the Broncos, and neither team committed a turnover all afternoon.
