Laura Geller Beauty Enters Fragrance With First-Ever Perfume, Tuscan Sun

Published

on

After decades of making makeup for mature skin, Laura Geller Beauty is bottling a scent. The brand has launched Tuscan Sun Eau de Toilette, its first-ever perfume and a significant expansion into the fragrance category.

The scent is a love letter to Italy, where many of the brand’s products are made. Tuscan Sun opens with bright notes of Italian lemon, softens into creamy florals at the heart, and settles into a warm base of amber and vanilla — a composition designed to evoke golden hour in Tuscany and the ease of la dolce vita, “the sweet life.”

Founder and makeup artist Laura Geller said the idea came from real life: “For years, people have stopped me to ask what perfume I’m wearing. I finally felt called to create my own fragrance.” Geller and her team spent more than a year developing the perfume, drawing on her annual travels through Italy and turning to customer panels to help refine the scent along the way. “It had to feel as personal as our makeup,” she added.

The launch is a notable move for a brand that has built its reputation on artisanal, Italian-made makeup tailored to mature skin. By stepping into fragrance with a scent rooted in that same Italian heritage — the warmth and spirit of Italian living that inspired the brand from the start — Laura Geller is giving its loyal customer base a new way to wear the brand, and giving everyone who ever stopped its founder to ask about her perfume a long-awaited answer of her own.

Haus Labs’ Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil Puts Skincare First With a Waterless Liquid Bronzer

Published

on

Haus Labs is making the case that bronzer should behave like skincare. Lady Gaga’s brand has launched the Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil, a waterless liquid bronzer with a serum-like texture, made with 70 percent skincare ingredients and designed to deliver sheer, believable warmth rather than an obvious stripe of color.

The formula is built to work as hard as it wears. Haus Labs says the veil is waterproof, sweat-proof and humidity-proof, with up to 12 hours of even wear, medium coverage and a natural finish. Inside, hyaluronic filling spheres, phytosqualane, fermented arnica and wakame extract work to hydrate and support the skin barrier while the color is on. The application is deliberately simple: dot the wand where the sun would naturally hit — forehead, cheekbones, the bridge of the nose — then tap and blend out with a brush, building to intensify the bronze.

Shade range is a headline in itself. The Bronzing Veil comes in 11 shades running from Sand and Golden through Sienna, Playa and Rich to Mahogany, Oasis and Mirage, an inclusive spread the brand demonstrates across skin tones. The formula is vegan, and the tube format makes it easy to control exactly how much warmth goes on.

The Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil is priced at $32 and is available at hauslabs.com and Sephora US, where it arrived in early October. For anyone who has ever overdone it with powder bronzer, Haus Labs is pitching a softer way back into the sun — no actual sun required.
