Lovecraftian Survival Horror Stygian: Outer Gods Leaves Early Access With Full Launch on October 26

Stygian: Outer Gods, the Lovecraftian survival horror game with RPG elements from developer Misterial Games and Fulqrum Publishing, exits Early Access and launches in full on PC on October 26, 2026, bringing its development journey to a close just ahead of Halloween.

Set in the universe of Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, Outer Gods takes players back to the events preceding the Black Day. Players take the role of Jack Harrison, who joins an expedition to Kingsport, a once-prosperous harbor town now decrepit and nearly abandoned, in search of his missing father. Shipwrecked on arrival, Harrison soon comes face to face with nightmares that have haunted the place for centuries.

Survival in Kingsport demands more than firepower. Players must manage scarce resources, craft useful items and remedies, and adapt to threats that endanger body and mind alike. Sanity is as fragile as life: mental afflictions can take hold and alter the experience, while character progression lets players develop their abilities and approach challenges in different ways. Every choice has consequences, and the road through Kingsport branches accordingly.

The game’s world draws directly on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, moving from desolate streets and a mysterious family mansion to abandoned mines, fog-shrouded forests and otherworldly realms. It is a slower, more deliberate kind of horror than the genre usually offers, built on atmosphere, investigation and the creeping sense that some secrets were buried for a reason.

For Fulqrum Publishing, the 1.0 launch closes out a long Early Access run for one of its most distinctive titles. Stygian: Outer Gods is available in full on PC from October 26.

MapleStory Classic World Launches, Bringing the Classic Era Back to PC and Mac

The old Maple World is open again. Nexon has officially launched MapleStory Classic World, a dedicated version of its long-running MMORPG built around the game’s classic era, with the servers opening October 21 at 11:00 AM PDT on the Nexon Launcher and Steam for Windows and macOS.

The launch follows a Founder’s Access period that began October 6. Founder’s packages went off sale on October 14, and progress made during early access carries into the full launch, so returning players keep the head start they built.

Classic World launches at version 1.0.0 with the structure longtime players remember. Characters choose from four first-job paths — Warrior, Magician, Bowman and Thief — at level 10, and the level cap sits at 100. There is no 3rd Job Advancement at launch; Nexon plans to add it gradually, pacing the rollout rather than dropping two decades of content at once.

The game is free to play, supported by a Cash Shop, with Leaf Points as its currency. Nexon has kept the two versions of MapleStory largely separate: the only thing shared with the modern game is the NX balance, so Classic World stands as its own economy and community.

Nexon America’s Hanbyeol Oh, known to the community as Inkwell, has framed the project as something other than a one-to-one recreation of the game from 20 years ago — a classic world rebuilt for the players who grew up with it, rather than a museum piece.

Classic launches have become a reliable draw across the MMO genre, and MapleStory carries more nostalgia than most. With a level cap, job structure and social pace modeled on the era that made the game a phenomenon, Classic World is Nexon’s play to bring its lapsed audience home.
