Deck of Haunts Brings Its Haunted House Deckbuilder to Consoles

Published

on

In most horror games, you are trying to escape the haunted house. In Deck of Haunts, you are the haunted house. The horror deckbuilder roguelike from Belgian studio Mantis Games and publisher DANGEN Entertainment has launched on consoles, arriving for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $19.99. The game is already available on PC via Steam.

Players build and expand their house room by room, and every new room changes the paths human visitors can take through it. Using decks of cards, creatures and upgrades, they lure in intruders, terrify them and stop their hearts, defending the house’s own heart in the process. Different decks, creatures, missions and game modes open new approaches to building the perfect house of horrors, and this time, the haunted house gets to win.

Console players are getting a substantially bigger game than the one PC players first met last year. “The Deck of Haunts launching on consoles is a very different game from the one we first released on PC last year,” said Philippe Mesotten of Mantis Games. “We’ve spent more than a year building the game based on player feedback; adding new ways to create your own haunted house, new creatures, new decks, new missions, even entire new game modes. We’re thrilled console players get to start with all of this from day one.”

Mantis Games is a five-person indie studio from Belgium focused on visually striking games. Deck of Haunts supports eleven languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Korean, and its console launch lands in the heart of the Halloween season, a fitting homecoming for a game about a house that fights back.

Netmarble Sets October 27 Global Launch Date for Vampire-Themed MMORPG VAMPIR

Netmarble has set the global launch date for VAMPIR, its large-scale vampire-themed MMORPG. The game officially launched in additional countries and regions worldwide on October 27 at 7:00 p.m. PDT, across PC and mobile platforms with full cross-platform support, so players on both share the same online world.

Ahead of the launch, pre-download began on October 26 at 7:00 p.m. PDT through the App Store, Google Play and the Epic Games Store, letting players install the game in advance and begin their adventure the moment the servers opened. Players who pre-registered were rewarded at launch with a Designated Heroic Mount Summon Ticket, 100 million Gold, a full set of Rare Equipment and Immortal Portrait Fragments.

VAMPIR comes from Netmarble Neo, and brings together key developers behind Lineage 2: Revolution and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. The game drops players into a gothic horror world of vampires, bloodlines and warring factions, where they choose a class and fight through the story.

The global rollout follows a proven run in Asia. VAMPIR first launched in Korea in August 2025, where it topped the grossing charts on both Google Play and the App Store and became the longest-running No. 1 title among all new games released in Korea that year. Launches in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau followed in March 2026, with Japan joining in July 2026.

The October 27 launch takes the game beyond those existing service regions and opens it to players around the rest of the world, on mobile through the App Store and Google Play and on PC through the Epic Games Store.
