Dead by Daylight Steps Off the Screen With Immersive Experience Premiering October 30 in California

Dead by Daylight is leaving the screen behind. The Dead by Daylight Immersive Experience will hold its worldwide premiere on Friday, October 30 at the Moreno Valley Museum & ArtSpace in Southern California, turning Behaviour Interactive’s hit asymmetrical horror game into a 45-minute live adventure that guests play with their whole bodies, just in time for Halloween.

In the game, four Survivors race to repair generators and power the exit gates while one Killer hunts them, a formula that has drawn more than 70 million players into The Fog over its first decade. The immersive version keeps that structure but drops the controller: guests work as a team to help Survivors escape, moving through three acts built on 360-degree wall and floor projection, surround sound and motion-tracking technology that responds to every step.

Act 1, “Little Museum of Horror,” opens in a shifting gallery of the game’s most feared Killers held in towering containment crates, before the dark force at the heart of the game seizes the room. In Act 2, guests are swept through the game’s most terrifying locations, running alongside Survivors toward an open exit gate. Act 3, “Gaming for Your Life,” turns guests into players: the generators fail, the gate begins to close, and the room steps onto interactive floor stations to restore power while a single shared heartbeat speeds up around them, before the Killers invade and every guest must help save an assigned Survivor.

The experience was created by Lighthouse Immersive for the museum, a two-story cultural destination built inside a former 38,000-square-foot Sears store at Moreno Valley Mall through a partnership between the City of Moreno Valley and Lighthouse Immersive. “Guests don’t just watch the story; they have to work together to survive it,” said Lighthouse Immersive CEO Corey Ross. The experience joins The New Immersive Van Gogh: The Next Chapter, which opened September 25. It will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with tickets on sale now starting at $30.09 and VIP packages available; the recommended age is 13 and up.

One Piece: Grand Gourmet Serves Up a Restaurant Adventure With 400 Characters

The Straw Hat Crew is getting into the restaurant business. One Piece: Grand Gourmet, a restaurant-management simulation from developer Kairosoft and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment, has launched worldwide for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, iOS and Android.

Players take charge of Baratie Number Two, the Straw Hat Crew’s floating eatery, with Sanji, the crew’s famously devoted cook, installed as head chef. In classic Kairosoft fashion, the game blends approachable management systems with deep customization: more than 400 One Piece characters appear as staff and customers, and over 200 decoration items let players design a restaurant that matches their own taste, from the layout of the dining room to the menu it serves.

The simultaneous worldwide launch is unusual for a licensed anime title, which often staggers Japanese and Western releases by weeks or months. Bandai Namco instead released Grand Gourmet globally on a single day across five platforms, bringing the game to console, PC and mobile audiences at once. On PC, the game is priced at €19.99 on Bandai Namco’s European store, with US pricing reported at $19.99.

Kairosoft has spent decades perfecting the cozy management sim, building a catalogue of pixel-art business games covering everything from game studios to hot springs resorts, and Grand Gourmet applies that formula to one of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world. For One Piece fans, the appeal is in the details: hundreds of familiar faces walking through the door of a restaurant you built, with Sanji running the kitchen the way only Sanji would.

One Piece: Grand Gourmet is available now on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, the App Store and Google Play.
