Ransom Everglades visits Palmer Trinity on Friday afternoon to close the regular season. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m., according to the Ransom Everglades schedule on MaxPreps.

MaxPreps lists Ransom Everglades at 8-1 and Palmer Trinity at 4-5 on its Florida schedule page for Friday, Oct. 30. The Raiders are the visiting team, with the game listed on their schedule as at Palmer Trinity, with a Preview Game designation.

That record gap is the headline fact for this matchup. Ransom Everglades has lost only once on the published MaxPreps mark and goes on the road looking for a ninth win. Palmer Trinity sits one game under .500 and gets its finale at home, with a chance to finish at .500 by beating one of the strongest records on the Miami-Dade private school slate.

No venue beyond the home school, district stake or player statistics were stated for this matchup in the schedule sources checked, so none are included here. What is verified is the date, the early 4 p.m. start, the home and away teams and the records as published by MaxPreps for Oct. 30.

Friday afternoon games ask a different kind of focus. There is no long wait under the lights. Ransom Everglades and Palmer Trinity get straight to the last game on their published regular season schedules.

Armwood closes the regular season at home in Seffner on Friday night against Jefferson, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. Armwood enters at 8-1 and Jefferson at 4-5, according to MaxPreps. High School On SI’s October 28 Florida rankings listed Armwood at No. 14 in the state and also had the Hawks at 8-1 heading into this game.

Armwood comes in off a 62-0 win over Leto last week. In that game, junior Rondai Dile completed 7 of 8 passes for 185 yards and four touchdowns, according to High School On SI. Jefferson, at 4-5, needs a complete game on the road: sustain drives, limit Armwood’s explosive plays, and win the turnover battle to keep the finale close into the second half.

For Armwood, Friday is about finishing the regular season cleanly at home before the playoffs. For Jefferson, it is a chance to measure itself against one of Florida’s ranked teams. The Hawks will try to set the tempo early, while the Dragons will try to slow the game and make every possession count.
