Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots fell to a shock opening loss by the Kansas City Chiefs in Boston.

Veteran quarterback Tom Brady failed to register a touchdown pass as the Patriots were beaten 42-27.

Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith threw 368 yards and four touchdowns, but it was rookie running back Kareem Hunt who impressed on his debut.

After fumbling on his first carry, the 22-year-old registered three touchdowns and ran a total of 246 yards.

“We just stuck together,” Hunt said. “We’re like the underdogs, a lot of people didn’t believe in us. We just wanted to come out and shock the world.”

But 40-year-old Brady threw 267 yards for no touchdowns and made only 16 of his 36 attempts.

“The only guys who can do something about it are back in that locker room. We’ve got to dig a lot deeper than we did tonight,” said Brady.

The Patriots were leading at half-time and only down by six points at the start of the fourth quarter.

But Brady was unable to find any rhythm as his side faded badly and conceded 42 points – the most they have allowed in coach Bill Belichick’s 17-plus seasons.

Smith, who completed 28 of 35 pass attempts with no interceptions, became the first quarterback with 300-plus yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions against Belichick.

It was also the first time the Patriots have lost at the Gillette Stadium when leading at half-time in 82 games.

They now travel to New Orleans to face the Saints, while the Chiefs host the Philadelphia Eagles.

Josh Barry has also been picking up serious heat, recently featuring with Rudimental and Sigma, collaborating with Nile Rogers and opening for Rag ‘N’ Bone Man on tour. Josh Barry brings a dynamic force to the collab as he embodies the spirit of legendary icons like James Brown and Jimi Hendrix.

On ‘Love Like This’, Wilde explains, “When we got in the studio, the song basically wrote itself, we wanted to capture that raw soulful essence in our husky tones, and a nostalgic feeling of those classic Marvin Gaye love songs but with a 2024 flip.”

As the dreamy, smooth track escalates, Wilde and Barry’s yearning vocals entwine with epic effect as the pair find the ‘Love Like This’ that they have been searching and waiting for. The release comes with a Valentine’s launch show at the iconic ‘The Bedford’ and a 6-part Instagram & TikTok reel series, released every other day from 16^th February, which everyone should tune into to see Wilde and Barry explore the track’s steamy and romantic themes in more depth through nostalgic aesthetics.
