Paradox is handing players the Romanov dynasty at its most fragile moment. State and Revolution, a new $14.99 immersion pack for Victoria 3 out now, builds a century of Russian history around the Tsar in power, with dynamic revolutions, a Russian Civil War, and national struggles that can pull the empire apart or remake it entirely.

The century between 1836 and 1936 saw the Russian state go from serfdom to Soviet. Blessed with vast natural resources, Russia has the potential to overawe the continent. However, it is held back by a too cautious and too traditional administration, reluctant to reform, and therefore sowing the seeds of revolution. Take the reins of the Romanov dynasty and its successors in Victoria 3: State and Revolution, available now.

Victoria 3: State and Revolution is a new immersion pack for Paradox Interactive’s grand strategic societal simulation of the world in the 19th and early 20th centuries. State & Revolution focuses on the history of Russia, one of the major players in the era, beginning the game in a delicate alliance of conservative monarchies, desperate to industrialize and consolidate its many holdings, while keeping restless subject cultures under control.

Features of Victoria 3: State and Revolution include:

• Character Driven Tsars: Dynamic Journal Entries are created based on the traits of the reigning Tsar in power. Make use of different actions depending on the Tsar’s traits and other factors in order to achieve their ambitions.
• Dynamic Revolutions: Potential Russian revolutions transpire based on the Tsarist Governments, and the legacy of your predecessors.
• The Russian Civil War: Seize control of the future as the state threatens to collapse around you. Build up the post-revolutionary Russia depending on its outcome. Make way for a communist government, or bring about your designs for an altogether different post-revolutionary regime.
• The National Struggles: A new Journal Entry dealing with the pursuit of Russification in the Empire. Experience Ukrainian and Belarusian cultural renaissances. Narrative content for Poland and other nations vying for independence from Russia.
• Tsarist Autocracy: Exile unwanted dissidents to Siberia to ensure power stays with you, though the outcome may not always be what you expect. As an autocratic ruler, appoint favorites, adopt their ideological stances, and engage in narrative content around their newfound powers.
• Updated visual effects to indicate seasonal changes across the globe.
• New historical characters.
• New Cosmetic Content including a new building style, character assets, interface and map skin, and table assets.
• New Music inspired by Russian imperial and revolutionary ambitions.

Victoria 3: State and Revolution is available now for the suggested retail price of $14.99/£12.99/€14.99. This immersion pack is also available as part of the Volume 3 expansion pass for Victoria 3.

Journal Entries and Events tied to “The Great Game”, introduced in Sphere of Influence expansion, will also become available to all State and Revolution owners.
