Beyond the Mist Brings Its Cursed Lighthouse Horror to Steam, Switch Version on November 19

Beyond the Mist, the horror adventure from developer Yliader and publisher RAWRLAB Games, is out now on Steam. The game launched on October 31 priced at $5.99, with an introductory discount of 40 percent bringing it to $3.59 until November 7, and a Nintendo Switch version follows on November 19.

Players take the role of Arthur Webb, an aging lighthouse keeper trapped inside a cursed lighthouse. With the light failing and the mist closing in, Arthur has to find a way out of a place that no longer obeys the rules of the world outside.

Escape means searching the lighthouse room by room for items and clues, solving puzzles and making key decisions along the way. Those decisions matter: the story can end in three different ways, and not all of them lead Arthur safely out of the mist, so every choice is worth thinking about before it is made.

The game is a reimagining of the Game Boy title The Mist, rebuilt as a modern horror adventure while keeping the spirit of the original intact. Its 8-bit-style soundtrack, composed by Gjoll, leans into that heritage, wrapping the lighthouse in chiptune dread that suits its pixel-art presentation.

For horror fans, the Halloween launch was well timed, and the low price makes it an easy recommendation for a single evening’s play. The Switch release on November 19 means handheld players get their turn inside the lighthouse just a few weeks later.

Short, focused and built around atmosphere rather than jump scares, Beyond the Mist is a compact horror story for players who like their scares slow and strange. It is available now on PC via Steam, with the Nintendo Switch version arriving on November 19.

Tattie Bogle Defends the Farm When It Launches on November 11

Tattie Bogle, the scarecrow farming tower-defense roguelite from PineFog Studios, launches on Steam on November 11. A free demo is available now, giving players an early taste of life as the farm’s last line of defense.

The setup comes straight from folklore. A Tomte’s magic has animated the farm’s scarecrow, and when pests descend on the crops in search of food, the scarecrow is the only thing standing between the harvest and ruin.

The attacks come in waves that escalate through the day. Deer and bunnies arrive at dawn, bears show up by the afternoon, and worse things still come after dark, when the farm is at its most vulnerable.

Players fight back with the tools at hand — a trowel, hoe, rake and shovel — and build defenses even while a wave is underway, digging trenches, setting lures, planting stinging nettles and placing spook stones to slow the invaders down.

Between attacks, the scarecrow leaves notes around the farm for the farmer, signed ‘Ol’ Jo’, and five folklore relics can turn the tide of a run. When the farm falls, the fields reset, but the scarecrow keeps the lessons it has learned.

It is a charming twist on the tower-defense formula, trading castles and cannons for crop rows and garden tools, and its day-and-night rhythm keeps every run moving between quiet preparation and frantic defense.

Tattie Bogle can be played solo or with up to four players in online co-op, making its mix of farming, tower defense and roguelite progression a flexible one. The full game launches on Steam on November 11, with the demo out now.
