Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 “Journey to the Sky” Arrives October 21

HoYoverse is taking Zenless Zone Zero into the sky. Version 3.3, “Journey to the Sky,” launches October 21 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC, iOS, Android and Steam, headlined by two new S-Rank Agents and a story chapter set on a sealed sky island.

The first new Agent is Phoenix, an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent and second-in-command of the Krampus Compliance Authority. Her Core Skill, Nirvana, lets her Anomaly damage against burned enemies land critical hits, and her Rebirth passive revives her at full health after a fatal strike — a second life built into the kit. Her signature S-Rank W-Engine, Plume of Rebirth, arrives with her banner in Phase 1, alongside a rerun for Velina Airgrid.

Phase 2 brings Severian Lowell, an S-Rank Wind Attack Agent serving as a commissioner of New Eridu Public Security, with a rerun for Norma Hollowell.

The new main story chapter opens Roscaelifer, a sky island that has been sealed away, where the Quietude Isle skyport is occupied. The chapter introduces mech gameplay: players pilot combat mechs that switch between melee and ranged forms, with a stronger laser unlocked after an EX Special Attack or a dodge — and HoYoverse says mech play will continue into future versions, making it a system rather than a one-chapter gimmick. Outside combat, the Fairy assistant gains a team-recommendation feature.

Halloween-season events, Night of Supernatural Tricks and Spooky Funhouse Tales, round out the patch, with check-in rewards of 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons.

HoYoverse also used the announcement to confirm what comes next: Version 3.4 will cross over with Honkai: Star Rail, adding Kafka and Robin — the first collaboration between the studio’s own flagship titles.

THE FINALS Season 12 “PRIME TIME” Rebuilds Destruction and Adds Solo Showdown

Published

THE FINALS has always sold itself on destruction, and Season 12 rebuilds the whole system. “PRIME TIME,” live now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, is the free-to-play game show shooter’s largest update since its 2023 launch, headlined by Gradual Destruction: buildings now bend, sag and partially collapse under damage instead of shattering on cue, while Blast Waves displace objects and deform walls, and smoke and toxic gas have been reworked to interact with the geometry they move through.

The season’s new mode is Solo Showdown, launching in beta as the game’s first dedicated solo tournament. Twelve contestants play three rounds drawn from eight rotating mini-modes — Blast Off!, Heavy Hitters, Boom Brawl, Slam-A-Rama, Sniper Standoff, Winch Wars, Turbo Tussle and One and Gunned — with the four lowest scorers eliminated after each of the first two rounds.

The game show itself gets smarter with Dynamic Commentary, also in beta: announcer Scotty now calls contestants out by name for standout plays such as team wipes and revive streaks, turning the broadcast layer into part of the reward.

Light players get a full new playstyle, the Infiltrator. True Sight reveals opponents through smoke, the Mimic Device disguises a contestant as an object, and the Translocator swaps the player’s position with a marked object. Balance shifts around it: Light builds gain 25 health and Heavy builds lose 25, compressing the gap between the outer classes.

Three arenas — Monaco, Seoul and Skyway Stadium — have been remastered, the HUD and Side Panel redesigned, and sponsor rewards rebuilt around Contracts; the VR currency has been removed entirely. A Frights Galore Halloween wheel covers the seasonal beat.

Three years in, Embark is not coasting on THE FINALS’ formula — PRIME TIME re-engineers the thing the game is famous for, and bets that better destruction keeps the show on air.
