Campbell at North Atlanta: Spartans Make the Trip for a Friday Night Non-Region Test

Campbell heads to North Atlanta on Friday night for a non-region matchup that closes the week with an early 5:30 p.m. kickoff in Atlanta.

The Spartans make the short trip from Smyrna to face the Warriors on their home field, and the setting matters. A road game in the city, against a Fulton County opponent, is a different kind of test than a region night at home. Campbell will need a clean start, because giving a home team early momentum in a one-off non-region game can change the whole night.

North Atlanta, at home, gets the chance to defend its field in front of its own crowd. The Warriors know the routine, the field, and the moment, and that familiarity is worth something on a Friday night. Their job is simple to say and harder to do: start fast, protect the ball, and make Campbell chase the game.

There is no region race attached to this one, and that can free both teams up. Expect both staffs to trust their players, play aggressive early, and treat this as a measuring stick. Campbell at North Atlanta kicks off Friday, October 30 at 5:30 p.m.

Riverdale at Mt. Zion: Raiders Visit the Bulldogs in a Clayton County Region Game

Riverdale travels to Mt. Zion on Friday night in Jonesboro, closing the Clayton County slate with a region game between two familiar opponents.

The Raiders go on the road knowing county games are rarely decided by reputation. Riverdale’s schedule shows a 51-8 loss to North Clayton earlier in October, the kind of result that tests a team’s response over the rest of a season. Friday is another chance to answer, and it has to start with the basics: block, tackle, and protect the football in a hostile building.

Mt. Zion, at home, controls the setting. The Bulldogs get the crowd, the routine, and the chance to make Riverdale play from behind. A home team in a region game wants exactly that script: score first, make the visitor chase, and let the defense play aggressive with a lead.

If Riverdale can survive the first quarter and turn this into a possession game, the Raiders give themselves a real chance on the road. If Mt. Zion starts fast, the home side will be hard to pull back. Riverdale at Mt. Zion kicks off Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
