Mabinogi Mobile Launches With Cross-Play Between Phones and PC

Published

on

Nexon’s fantasy life MMORPG has arrived on mobile. Mabinogi Mobile, developed by devCAT, officially launched service on October 7, bringing the long-running Mabinogi world to iOS and Android alongside a PC version on Windows, with full cross-play between mobile and PC.

The mobile version rebuilds the series’ signature mix of combat and daily life for phones. The interface has been optimized for mobile play, while the features fans expect are intact: deep character creation, companion battles, cooking, and the “My Home” housing system for building out a personal space. Community features sit at the center of the design, in keeping with a series that has always treated social play as a core system rather than an extra.

Interest ahead of launch was strong, with pre-registrations passing 300,000 before release. Players who jump in early can claim launch gifts that include a Layered Outfit Set Box, a Dye Ampoule Selection Box and ten Fashion Tickets, with the gifts available to claim through December 31, 2026.

The launch is supported by a run of opening events. A seven-day attendance event rewards consistent logins, 7-Step Growth Missions guide new characters through their early progression, and a friend invitation event pays out for bringing other players in. An Amazon gift card campaign on X also ran during the launch window, from October 7 to October 14.

Mabinogi first launched on PC in 2004 and built a devoted audience around its life-simulation systems as much as its dungeons. Mabinogi Mobile is free to play with in-app purchases, and its cross-play setup means a character started on a phone in the morning can pick up on PC at night — the format the series’ everyday-life gameplay seems built for. This launch covers the Japanese service, per Nexon’s release.

THE FINALS Season 12 “PRIME TIME” Rebuilds Destruction and Adds Solo Showdown

Published

on

THE FINALS has always sold itself on destruction, and Season 12 rebuilds the whole system. “PRIME TIME,” live now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, is the free-to-play game show shooter’s largest update since its 2023 launch, headlined by Gradual Destruction: buildings now bend, sag and partially collapse under damage instead of shattering on cue, while Blast Waves displace objects and deform walls, and smoke and toxic gas have been reworked to interact with the geometry they move through.

The season’s new mode is Solo Showdown, launching in beta as the game’s first dedicated solo tournament. Twelve contestants play three rounds drawn from eight rotating mini-modes — Blast Off!, Heavy Hitters, Boom Brawl, Slam-A-Rama, Sniper Standoff, Winch Wars, Turbo Tussle and One and Gunned — with the four lowest scorers eliminated after each of the first two rounds.

The game show itself gets smarter with Dynamic Commentary, also in beta: announcer Scotty now calls contestants out by name for standout plays such as team wipes and revive streaks, turning the broadcast layer into part of the reward.

Light players get a full new playstyle, the Infiltrator. True Sight reveals opponents through smoke, the Mimic Device disguises a contestant as an object, and the Translocator swaps the player’s position with a marked object. Balance shifts around it: Light builds gain 25 health and Heavy builds lose 25, compressing the gap between the outer classes.

Three arenas — Monaco, Seoul and Skyway Stadium — have been remastered, the HUD and Side Panel redesigned, and sponsor rewards rebuilt around Contracts; the VR currency has been removed entirely. A Frights Galore Halloween wheel covers the seasonal beat.

Three years in, Embark is not coasting on THE FINALS’ formula — PRIME TIME re-engineers the thing the game is famous for, and bets that better destruction keeps the show on air.
