Plant City hosts Parrish Community on Friday night to close the regular season, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. Plant City enters at 7-2 and Parrish Community at 0-9, according to MaxPreps and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune’s Week 11 previews. Plant City’s schedule page confirms the Raiders are home on October 30.

Plant City comes in on a four-game win streak, according to the Herald-Tribune, including a 23-15 win at Durant on October 23. Parrish Community is still looking for its first win of the season after a 49-6 loss to Manatee in Week 10, according to the Herald-Tribune. The Raiders will look to take care of business at home, finish the regular season at 8-2, and carry their streak into the playoffs.

For Parrish Community, Friday is a final chance to compete and to build something for next season against a strong opponent. For Plant City, the assignment is focus: start fast, avoid turnovers, and do not let a winless team hang around. Kickoff in Plant City is at 7:30 p.m.

Riverdale at Mt. Zion: Raiders Visit the Bulldogs in a Clayton County Region Game

Riverdale travels to Mt. Zion on Friday night in Jonesboro, closing the Clayton County slate with a region game between two familiar opponents.

The Raiders go on the road knowing county games are rarely decided by reputation. Riverdale’s schedule shows a 51-8 loss to North Clayton earlier in October, the kind of result that tests a team’s response over the rest of a season. Friday is another chance to answer, and it has to start with the basics: block, tackle, and protect the football in a hostile building.

Mt. Zion, at home, controls the setting. The Bulldogs get the crowd, the routine, and the chance to make Riverdale play from behind. A home team in a region game wants exactly that script: score first, make the visitor chase, and let the defense play aggressive with a lead.

If Riverdale can survive the first quarter and turn this into a possession game, the Raiders give themselves a real chance on the road. If Mt. Zion starts fast, the home side will be hard to pull back. Riverdale at Mt. Zion kicks off Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
