‘Pawn’ Premieres to Enthusiastic Crowds as Lynx Unveils Gripping Action Thriller Starring Adjetey Anang

After months of anticipation and excitement, Ghana’s leading entertainment company Lynx Ghana premiered their much-talked-about feature film “Pawn” at the Silverbird cinemas on November 2, 2024.

The movie is an action thriller following the life of a police detective played by Adjetey Anang who is suffering from a personality disorder. Despite his condition, he leads an investigation into a string of murders happening in the city.

The premiere had three showings at 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm, which all saw movie lovers show up in their numbers to watch and appreciate what is being described as one of the best Ghanaian movies in recent memory. Viewers left the cinema in high praise for the film and its cast.

Also present at the premiere were members of the cast, including Adjetey Anang, Sika Osei, and Lydia Forson, as well as award-winning actress Nadia Buari, among other celebrities who came to show their support for the film.

In April, singer-songwriter and actress Alivia Clark released the breathtaking single, “Breathless.” The budding songstress now closes out the summer and kicks off the fall with “Dancing In Circles.” The Dance-Pop anthem is marked by its pulsating, intoxicating rhythm and Alivia Clark’s polished, sultry vocals.

“Dancing In Circles” is a groove-led up-tempo record that is fun and uber-catchy. The euphoric song’s sensual vibe accentuates the track’s theme of blissful yet wary seduction and temptation. “‘Dancing In Circles’ explores the push and pull of attraction and is about being stuck in a cycle with someone that you know isn’t good for you, but the chemistry makes it impossible to let go.” Alivia Clark continues, “There’s something so addictive about that feeling, you know that you’re going around in circles, but part of you doesn’t want to stop.”
