Solo Leveling: ARISE Marks 2.5 Years With “BEYOND” Update and Two New Hunters

Published

on

Netmarble is celebrating two and a half years of Solo Leveling: ARISE with its “BEYOND” update, a patch headlined by two new Hunters, a new endgame mode built around elemental teamwork, and one of the most generous reward runs in the game’s history.

The first newcomer is Go Gunhee, an SSR Water-element Buster Hunter carrying the title Holy Guardian Barrier. His kit draws on the Four Divine Beasts: Roaring Mountain sends him in with a Black Tortoise shoulder charge, and his Burst Skill, Sky-Shattering Fist, anchors his damage. Alongside him arrives Velvet, a Fire-element Successor who inherits the instincts of Adan, Monarch of Fangs. Velvet fights with two swords that join into a double-ended spear, switching stances as she fights.

The update’s new mode is the Deep Containment Zone, which sends four-Hunter parties against experimental variants of existing bosses. It introduces the Union system: field four Hunters of the same element and they fill a Union gauge that unleashes a team attack — usable once per battle, so timing is the whole game.

Progression gets a new layer with the Figure system, earned by defeating Igris, Kargalgan and the Eight Monarchs on Expert difficulty, plus a Seasonal Cards collection. Story content expands with Chapters 35 and 36 in both Normal and Reverse, and guild systems receive a round of improvements.

The anniversary rewards are the headline for returning players: up to 500 2.5th Anniversary Special Draw Tickets spread across the October and November updates, 10,000 Essence Stones, 20 Rate Up Draw Tickets, and a Battlefield of Infinity event mode to play through.

ARISE remains one of the strongest examples of an anime property translating to games, and Netmarble is clearly treating the 2.5-year mark as a relaunch moment rather than a routine patch. The update is live now on mobile and PC.

THE FINALS Season 12 “PRIME TIME” Rebuilds Destruction and Adds Solo Showdown

Published

on

THE FINALS has always sold itself on destruction, and Season 12 rebuilds the whole system. “PRIME TIME,” live now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, is the free-to-play game show shooter’s largest update since its 2023 launch, headlined by Gradual Destruction: buildings now bend, sag and partially collapse under damage instead of shattering on cue, while Blast Waves displace objects and deform walls, and smoke and toxic gas have been reworked to interact with the geometry they move through.

The season’s new mode is Solo Showdown, launching in beta as the game’s first dedicated solo tournament. Twelve contestants play three rounds drawn from eight rotating mini-modes — Blast Off!, Heavy Hitters, Boom Brawl, Slam-A-Rama, Sniper Standoff, Winch Wars, Turbo Tussle and One and Gunned — with the four lowest scorers eliminated after each of the first two rounds.

The game show itself gets smarter with Dynamic Commentary, also in beta: announcer Scotty now calls contestants out by name for standout plays such as team wipes and revive streaks, turning the broadcast layer into part of the reward.

Light players get a full new playstyle, the Infiltrator. True Sight reveals opponents through smoke, the Mimic Device disguises a contestant as an object, and the Translocator swaps the player’s position with a marked object. Balance shifts around it: Light builds gain 25 health and Heavy builds lose 25, compressing the gap between the outer classes.

Three arenas — Monaco, Seoul and Skyway Stadium — have been remastered, the HUD and Side Panel redesigned, and sponsor rewards rebuilt around Contracts; the VR currency has been removed entirely. A Frights Galore Halloween wheel covers the seasonal beat.

Three years in, Embark is not coasting on THE FINALS’ formula — PRIME TIME re-engineers the thing the game is famous for, and bets that better destruction keeps the show on air.
