Countryside hosts East Lake on Friday night in Clearwater for the regular-season finale, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. East Lake enters at 5-4 and Countryside at 6-3, according to MaxPreps. NGSC Sports’ Pinellas County preview confirms East Lake travels to Countryside on Friday, October 30.

East Lake has enjoyed another competitive season and hopes to finish with momentum, according to NGSC Sports. Countryside has home-field advantage and an opportunity to deliver a memorable finish to its regular season. NGSC Sports notes East Lake must establish its offensive attack early and prevent Countryside from controlling possession, while defensive discipline could become the deciding factor.

Both teams must limit penalties, protect the football, and capitalize on scoring opportunities, and special teams could influence field position throughout the contest. A win gives Countryside a seven-win regular season at home. A win gives East Lake a road victory over a winning county opponent to close the year. Kickoff in Clearwater is at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Riverdale at Mt. Zion: Raiders Visit the Bulldogs in a Clayton County Region Game

Riverdale travels to Mt. Zion on Friday night in Jonesboro, closing the Clayton County slate with a region game between two familiar opponents.

The Raiders go on the road knowing county games are rarely decided by reputation. Riverdale’s schedule shows a 51-8 loss to North Clayton earlier in October, the kind of result that tests a team’s response over the rest of a season. Friday is another chance to answer, and it has to start with the basics: block, tackle, and protect the football in a hostile building.

Mt. Zion, at home, controls the setting. The Bulldogs get the crowd, the routine, and the chance to make Riverdale play from behind. A home team in a region game wants exactly that script: score first, make the visitor chase, and let the defense play aggressive with a lead.

If Riverdale can survive the first quarter and turn this into a possession game, the Raiders give themselves a real chance on the road. If Mt. Zion starts fast, the home side will be hard to pull back. Riverdale at Mt. Zion kicks off Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
