Palm Harbor University hosts Dunedin on Friday night for the regular-season finale, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. Dunedin enters at 4-5 and Palm Harbor University at 2-7, according to MaxPreps and NGSC Sports’ Pinellas County preview.

Dunedin can reach .500 with a victory, according to NGSC Sports. The Falcons will look to establish offensive consistency and limit turnovers on the road. Palm Harbor University wants to finish its season by defending its home field, and NGSC Sports notes the Hurricanes can create problems through defensive pressure and strong special teams.

Both programs need to capitalize on opportunities inside the red zone, and a victory would provide either team with a positive conclusion to the regular season. For Dunedin, Friday is a chance to end at 5-5 and take a road win home. For Palm Harbor, it is a chance to send its seniors out with a home victory. Expect a competitive county finale in Palm Harbor, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. Friday night.

Riverdale at Mt. Zion: Raiders Visit the Bulldogs in a Clayton County Region Game

Riverdale travels to Mt. Zion on Friday night in Jonesboro, closing the Clayton County slate with a region game between two familiar opponents.

The Raiders go on the road knowing county games are rarely decided by reputation. Riverdale’s schedule shows a 51-8 loss to North Clayton earlier in October, the kind of result that tests a team’s response over the rest of a season. Friday is another chance to answer, and it has to start with the basics: block, tackle, and protect the football in a hostile building.

Mt. Zion, at home, controls the setting. The Bulldogs get the crowd, the routine, and the chance to make Riverdale play from behind. A home team in a region game wants exactly that script: score first, make the visitor chase, and let the defense play aggressive with a lead.

If Riverdale can survive the first quarter and turn this into a possession game, the Raiders give themselves a real chance on the road. If Mt. Zion starts fast, the home side will be hard to pull back. Riverdale at Mt. Zion kicks off Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
