Southeast hosts Manatee on Friday night in Bradenton for the regular-season finale, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. Manatee enters at 5-4 and Southeast at 2-7, according to MaxPreps and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune’s Week 11 previews.

Manatee defeated Parrish Community 49-6 in Week 10, according to the Herald-Tribune. Sophomore quarterback Nolan Downes finished 13-of-17 for 292 passing yards and four touchdowns in that win, running back Caedon White rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on six carries, and junior receiver Elijah Christian had two touchdowns. Southeast earned its second win of the season in a 37-20 victory over Wellen Park, with senior quarterback Mason Summer finishing 12-of-18 for 155 yards and two scores and senior running back Marvelous Jackson rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.

Both Bradenton programs come in off wins, which makes this city finale more interesting than the records suggest. Manatee will try to finish above .500 on the road, while Southeast defends its home field. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.

Riverdale at Mt. Zion: Raiders Visit the Bulldogs in a Clayton County Region Game

Riverdale travels to Mt. Zion on Friday night in Jonesboro, closing the Clayton County slate with a region game between two familiar opponents.

The Raiders go on the road knowing county games are rarely decided by reputation. Riverdale’s schedule shows a 51-8 loss to North Clayton earlier in October, the kind of result that tests a team’s response over the rest of a season. Friday is another chance to answer, and it has to start with the basics: block, tackle, and protect the football in a hostile building.

Mt. Zion, at home, controls the setting. The Bulldogs get the crowd, the routine, and the chance to make Riverdale play from behind. A home team in a region game wants exactly that script: score first, make the visitor chase, and let the defense play aggressive with a lead.

If Riverdale can survive the first quarter and turn this into a possession game, the Raiders give themselves a real chance on the road. If Mt. Zion starts fast, the home side will be hard to pull back. Riverdale at Mt. Zion kicks off Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
