Lennard hosts Strawberry Crest on Friday night in Ruskin to close the regular season, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. Lennard enters at 7-2 and Strawberry Crest at 2-7, according to MaxPreps’ Florida schedule for October 30.

Lennard has put together a seven-win regular season and will look to finish it at home with an eighth win before the playoffs. The Longhorns will try to set the tone early, control the line of scrimmage, and give their home crowd a complete finale. Strawberry Crest, from Dover, travels south in Hillsborough County at 2-7, looking to close a tough season with its best road performance of the year.

For the Chargers, the formula on the road is familiar: win the turnover battle, make the most of short fields, and keep the game close into the fourth quarter. For Lennard, Friday is a chance to protect home field and head into November with momentum. Both teams’ seniors play their final regular-season game Friday night in Ruskin, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

Riverdale at Mt. Zion: Raiders Visit the Bulldogs in a Clayton County Region Game

Riverdale travels to Mt. Zion on Friday night in Jonesboro, closing the Clayton County slate with a region game between two familiar opponents.

The Raiders go on the road knowing county games are rarely decided by reputation. Riverdale’s schedule shows a 51-8 loss to North Clayton earlier in October, the kind of result that tests a team’s response over the rest of a season. Friday is another chance to answer, and it has to start with the basics: block, tackle, and protect the football in a hostile building.

Mt. Zion, at home, controls the setting. The Bulldogs get the crowd, the routine, and the chance to make Riverdale play from behind. A home team in a region game wants exactly that script: score first, make the visitor chase, and let the defense play aggressive with a lead.

If Riverdale can survive the first quarter and turn this into a possession game, the Raiders give themselves a real chance on the road. If Mt. Zion starts fast, the home side will be hard to pull back. Riverdale at Mt. Zion kicks off Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
